Instructor Mentoring

The road to becoming an outdoor instructor is long and hard, it takes a great deal of motivation to maintain momentum as you work your way from being a keen climber or mountaineer through the various award training course and on through your consolidation period to those final assessments and then on to your assessments. Many centres and organisation offer 'fast track instructor schemes', which can accelerate your way throught process, however they cannot replace the knowledge that comes from an extended period consolidating your skills.

These fast track courses can cost inexcess of £10000, and require three months off work. What we at Snowdonia Mopuntain Guides offer is something totally different a slow track or part-time solution to becoming qualified. What we offer is drop in service tailored to your needs. Will we consult with you initally over the phone free of charge, to assess what your immediate needs are and work out if we can help you, and if so how much help you require.

We can help in numerous ways, whether that be advise you on pre-requisits for registration, to choosing a provider for your training course. Where we really excellent is in helping you focus throughout your consoldiation period by giving some extra training and refreshments on the skills and nowledge your be expected to show when it comes to your final assessment.
